Affect Strategies Named as Finalist for 2005 Stevie Awards Employer of the Year

The Stevie Awards are presented to recognize the year's top accomplishments of women executives and business owners

NEW YORK -- December 15, 2005 -- Affect Strategies, a public relations and strategic marketing firm, was named a Finalist today for Employer of the Year in The 2005 Stevie™ Awards for Women Entrepreneurs.

The second annual Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs, www.steveiawards.com/women, is an international awards competition recognizing the accomplishments of women executives and business owners. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards, hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (April 27, 2005).

Affect Strategies was nominated as a Finalist for Employer of the Year out of more than 470 entries from small companies in virtually every industry that submitted for consideration in over 40 categories. Affect's friendly, supportive and creative team atmosphere as well as generous compensation and bonus packages contributed to the company's nomination for Employer of the Year. In addition, Affect offers flex-time and the ability to conduct business remotely for working parents, summer hours and team-building quarterly outings. During the recent Katrina catastrophe on the Gulf Coast, Affect granted paid time off to employees to help friends and family or volunteer for organizations assisting hurricane victims.

"The winners and finalists in the 2005 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs comprise the most dynamic women in business today. These executives and entrepreneurs have accomplished innovative and extraordinary things while building their businesses and serving their communities," said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie Awards. "We congratulate all of them on their achievement."

Sandra Fathi, founder and president of Affect Strategies said, "It is an honor to have been included with the high caliber of women entrepreneurs nominated for this year's Stevie Awards. At Affect Strategies our main focus is creating an environment for the employee that fosters professional growth and creativity that engenders a highly motivated and dedicated team. As we grow in 2006 we hope to continue displaying those characteristics that made us a Finalist for the 2005 Stevie Awards."

The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs are governed by a Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many leading women entrepreneurs and figures in American business, including Carrie Fitzmaurice, publisher for Entrepreneur Media Inc.; Dr. Lisa Krinsky, chairman & president for SFBC International; and Dr. Betty Spence, president of The National Association for Female Executives.
