Affect Strategies Collaborates with AvreaFoster to Deliver an Integrated Marketing Program Targeting Meeting and Event Planners
NEW YORK, January 18, 2011 -- Affect Strategies a public relations, strategic marketing and social media firm, has been selected by Omni Hotels & Resorts to develop and execute a social media strategy that will engage meeting and event planners to drive group sales and events across the luxury hotel brand. The social media campaign is part of an integrated marketing effort managed by AvreaFoster, Omni’s advertising agency of record.
Affect Strategies was tapped by Omni and AvreaFoster for the agency’s proven track record of executing results-driven social media campaigns for business-to-business companies that directly support marketing and sales objectives. By integrating Affect's social media program with AvreaFoster's strategic media strategy, Affect’s program maximizes the impact of the campaign.
“Social media is often neglected by hotels and resorts for meetings and events,” said Tom Santora, chief marketing officer and senior vice president, sales at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “Omni has been successful in building a strong social following in the leisure travel market, and we saw an opportunity to expand our efforts to create dedicated social media presences for meeting and event planners.”
“Omni already has a loyal fan base of meeting planners who have experienced first-hand the incredible service their guests receive when attending an Omni-hosted event,” said Leslie Campisi, vice president and partner at Affect Strategies. “We saw an opportunity to reach out directly to Omni’s existing champions and to communicate with meeting and event planners that had yet to book an engagement with Omni. By providing these audiences with valuable content, we hope to build and strengthen Omni’s relationships with meeting planners.”
As Omni’s social media agency for meeting and event planner outreach, Affect develops and manages Omni identities on social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter . Additionally, Affect has spearheaded a proactive blog commenting program to provide resources and content to industry bloggers and journalists and their readers. Campaign results are being actively measured and tracked to ensure that efforts are impacting Omni group sales and driving thought leadership and brand awareness among this niche market.
